Disco Lemonade Berliner Weisse from Aslan Brewing is as groovy as the #discoball design of the can.
The People’s Champagne is back! Brewed in the Berliner Style, this sour Weisse (white) beer uses Pilsner malt from Skagit Valley along with a large volume of wheat, then fermented with Lactobacillus and a house ale strain.
Aslan Brewing creates this beer every year as a toast to Summer. So raise your glasses and cans – It’s time to celebrate!
It’s pale yellowish-white in appearance with a short-lived cap of foam that leaves no trace.
The aroma is a sweet, sour wheat scent with a citrusy lemon tartness. The flavor carries forth the tart-y goodness, followed by a parade of lemon that lightly dances across the palate.
Easily one of the most refreshing beers I have had recently. I picked this up at Total Wine so it should be available throughout most of the Pacific Northwest.
